FAQs

NDIS Occupational Therapy in Sydney cover services, eligibility, funding, assessments, treatment plans, and support coordination.

Our occupational therapists meet you in your everyday environments—at home, work, school, or places you enjoy. By working directly in these settings, we help build your skills and address any community attitudes that may be limiting you. Unlike clinics, which can’t replicate real-life challenges, we focus on overcoming the barriers you face daily.

The process begins with an initial assessment by a disability practitioner or occupational therapist to understand your needs across all areas of life. Your therapist will focus on your goals and aspirations, rather than just limitations, considering your daily activities, challenges, support network, and living environment.

Based on this, they will develop a tailored therapy plan for one, two, or three years. This plan outlines the most effective combination of practitioners—such as a habit coach—and strategies to help you achieve meaningful progress on your journey toward positive change.

After the initial sessions, you’ll enter a consistent therapy routine, guided by your primary therapist along with other specialists (such as a speech pathologist, physiotherapist, behaviour support practitioner, or habit coach), based on your goals. You may have focused therapy sessions with your occupational therapist, followed by practice of routines and skills with a habit coach in between sessions.
